After an unexpected delay, we are rejoicing tonight in the Lord's goodness in allowing us to go to settlement and complete the purchase of our new church building.
As was mentioned in a previous post on The Pastor's Pen, we were scheduled to go to settlement on our new building back on February 1, but we ran into some difficulty in the process.
Praise the Lord, that today - exactly one month after the originally scheduled date - we went to settlement at 4:00 p.m. We are now the happy owners of a new church building located at 1308 Robins Avenue in Salisbury, Maryland. If you live in the area, we would love to have you come and visit us. If you are from out of the area, we would love to have you stop by when and if you come to town. If you have been praying for us as we have been seeking a building, we thank you for your prayers for us.
Here are a couple of pictures of the new building.

Congrats! Looks like you already got your office set up! :-) At any rate, the pictures show a nice home for MBF. If I ever make it that far East, I'll do what I can to drop in!
Unfortunately, the office is not mine! Maybe he'll leave it set-up for me.
Actually, we will not even have the offices for at least 60 days (or up to six months in a "worse-case" scenario). We will have the rest of the building, however. We have a big "Work Day" scheduled for this Saturday.

Beautiful, Frank! As the pastor of a "homeless" church, I actually teared up a bit reading of this answer to prayer. I know what a big deal it is, and I praise the Lord with you!
Now you can pray for us. We have our first workday to clear our 10-acre parcel on Saturday, and we're in the thick of planning, etc. In order for us to proceed with actual construction, the Lord is going to have to provide in an astounding way.
Again, I'm thrilled for you, friend!
Pastor Frank - looks great. We are thrilled for you and the folks at Messiah!
I am impressed with how neat our office is.
Pastor Franklin
Chris,
I will be praying for you as you make progress towards you building. (Has there been any relief in the rent situation?)
Pastor Franklin,
WOW! I am glad that you stopped by for a visit. We are looking forward to our building dedication and having you down to preach.
In Christ,
Frank
The Lord bless you, brother, in your new building! It is a great blessing and an opportunity for so many other avenues of ministry to be "permanent".
And of course, you also have to do things like new roofs occasionally... we had a windstorm in January that demonstrated the need to us! Thankfully, the Lord brought in extra funds last year that covered what would have been a shortfall!
Anyway, congratulations and may the Lord really use these facilities in your work.
Regards,
Don Johnson
